    More Information: Ferdinando Pulton (1536-1618), a Cambridge scholar of Christ's College, was admitted to Lincoln's Inn  in 1559 but never called to the bar because he was Catholic. As a result, he employed himself chiefly in editing the statutes and was the first private person to do so.
