    [William Morris]. K.L. Goodwin. The Relationships Between the Narrative Poetry of William Morris, His Art- and Craft-Work, and His Aesthetic Theories. Volume One: Text. Volume Two: Illustrations. University of Oxford, 1969. William E. Fredeman's copy of author's two volume Ph.D. dissertation.
    Volume one: ix, 349 single sided pages of text, the last 58 pages of which, titled "Printed Matters Used", are photocopies of original text with added holograph notes. Volume two: v, 126 single sided pages with both black and white and color photographs mounted and captioned on the page, few holograph pen annotations. Volume one bound in blue cloth with title and author's name in gilt on spine. Volume two bound in black cloth with author's name, title, and "D.Phil. 1969" at foot on spine in gilt. Light rubbing to boards, corners bumped; volume one's title underlined in pencil, few pencil markings, occasional smudges; otherwise two volumes in very good condition. From the William E.
