[References]. Group of Twenty-four Reference Books and Almanacs. Various publishers and dates [1822-1935]. Eight reference works; five in boards, one in printed wrappers, and two paper pamphlets. Together with thirteen almanacs (one in the German language) in printed wrappers, several of which are damaged or missing. Subjects include letter writing, reading, Roman history, gardening, even a 1824 medical treatise on indigestion. Book bindings worn, rubbed, scuffed, chipped, few surface losses from biopredation, few cracked hinges. Pages with edge wear, tears, creases and bends, "indigestion" volume with paper loss to the blank preliminaries, foxing, soiling, and dampstaining, pen and pencil names or markings. Pamphlets and almanacs with heavier edge wear, creasing, soiling, staining, foxing, tears and some paper losses, pen and pencil markings. Good to very good.
