Central City: Published by Authority, 1868. First edition. Printed by David C. Collier. Octavo. 742 pages. Full sheep with later endpapers. Binding rubbed, scuffed, and scratched; rear board with score marks. Spine with surface cracks and leather losses, backstrip tears at head, shallow impressions remain from missing title label, small leather label remnants at foot. Cracked joints and hinges. Bookseller's pencil notes on front free endpaper and recto of rear free endpaper; small pencil letters on title page. Title page with embossed seal and small holes with minor affect to text. Pages with light edge wear, few edge tears and paper chips, marginal dampstaining to first sixty pages, some foxing, soiling and staining. A good candidate for rebinding.
