Inscription on the front free endpaper reads "For Preston Sturges with my best wishes - and my thanks for the good entertainment you have provided me with over the years from Ray Bradbury May 5, 1948." Twelvemo. 313 pages plus colophon.

    Publisher's black cloth with gilt spine titles. In the original pictorial dust jacket. Minimal bottom edge and corner wear to the book. The textblock edge shows minor toning. Light rubbing seen at the dust jacket spine folds and at the corners. Overall, a near fine presentation copy of the first edition of Bradbury's first published book.
