"Written by one of the greatest nineteenth-century American explorers, this is one of the most interesting accounts of an original exploration of unknown parts of Texas..." - Jenkins, Basic Texas Books. (Wheat 791).

Condition: Very good. Modest shelf wear and staining to boards; text pages with some offsetting; plates generally clean with occasional modest foxing. Maps are very good to fine, with the huge map rarely found in this exceptional condition.
