Sax Rohmer (pseudonym of Arthur S. Ward). Shadow of Fu Manchu. Garden City: Published for The Crime Club by Doubleday & Co., Inc., 1948. First edition. Octavo, pp. [1-8] 9-190 [191-192: blank] [note: last leaf is a blank], original dark blue boards, front and spine panels stamped in white. Donald A. Wollheim's copy with his name stamped on the rear free endpaper, pulp paper text block a trifle age-darkened, binding lightly rubbed along bottom edges, a nearly fine copy in very good dust jacket with light wear at edges, mainly spine ends and front corners. Overall, a decent, better than average copy of this cheaply made book.
