    David H[enry] Keller. SIGNED/LIMITED. Life Everlasting and Other Tales of Science, Fantasy, and Horror. Newark, New Jersey: The Avalon Company, 1947. First edition. Octavo, cloth. An early copy (number 8) with signed inscription by Keller to fan publisher Oswald Train on the frontispiece. Oswald Train's bookplate affixed to the front paste-down. A very good copy in very good dust jacket with light wear at edges and shallow chipping at upper spine end. A mimeographed letter from The Avalon Company to subscribers about delays printing the book and the jacket is laid in. The 12-page Keller "bibliography" (compiled by Searles) is laid in as well. A nice association copy.

    The only book published by The Avalon Company. The edition totaled 1000 numbered copies of which 300 were later destroyed by water while in storage. Collects the short novel "Life Everlasting" and eleven short stories, most first published in the pulps, including WEIRD TALES, during the 1930s. Includes a 25-page "Introduction" by Sam Moskowitz.
