Signed by the author and inscribed by the photographer on verso of front free endpaper. [ii] 98 pages. Publisher's black cloth with tan spine lettered in black. No dust jacket. Spine and endpapers lightly foxed, previous owner's name ink stamped on the back free endpaper. The book comes in a beautiful custom made clamshell case, matching the black and tan of the covers, with leather spine and gilt titles. An otherwise near fine copy of this incredible integration of DeCarava's photographs and Hughes' text, depicting everyday life in Harlem.
