    This charming book of children's photography. Quarto. [4, blank], 22, [7, blank] pages. With ten halftone text illustrations and eight photogravure plates on tissue and mounted onto inserted leaves. Publisher's full red cloth over beveled boards, front cover stamped in black and lavender and lettered in gilt. Very minor rubbing to binding, minor chipping to front free endpaper. Fine. Emma Farnsworth was one of the most prominent female amateur photographers of her day.  Her work had been featured in international exhibitions, and is highly regarded even today. "Miss Farnsworth is one of the strongest lady amateurs in the United States; taking all qualities into consideration probably the strongest." (Alfred Stieglitz, as quoted in The Collection of Alfred Stieglitz by Weston Naef, 1978, p. 28).
