    [A. A. Milne]. Signed photographic portraits of A. A. Milne and E. H. Shepard. No place, no date [but ca. 1920s]. Oval-shaped, sepia-toned photographic portrait of A. A. Milne, signed on the mount beneath the photo. Measures approximately 5.25 x 3.25 inches; 130 x 94 mm. Minor scratches to Milne's portrait. Still, near fine. [Together with:] Black-and-white photographic portrait of E. H. Shepard, clipped signature pasted to mount beneath photo, "yours truly / E. H. Shepard." Photo measures approximately 5.75 x 3.75 inches; 143 x 97 mm. Fine. Separately matted and framed with glass, neither image examined out of frame.

    Both photographic portraits of Milne and Shepard hung for several decades in the Punch Magazine offices in London. From the Pat McInally Collection of Winnie-the-Pooh and Christopher Robin
