Harlan Ellison's Personal Collection of Heavy Metal Magazine. Stored in six large white Heavy Metal archival three-ring binders. Ellison has signed at the top of the front cover of each three-ring binder and written underneath his signature on each volume as follows: binder 1: "ARCHIVE FILE #1 DO NOT REMOVE!"; binder 2: "ARCHIVE FILE #2 DO NOT REMOVE ON PAIN OF DEATH!"; binder 3: "ARCHIVE FILE #3 DO NOT REMOVE, I'M NOT KIDDING!"; binder 4: "ARCHIVE FILE #4 DON'T TOUCH!"; binder 5:"ARCHIVE FILE #5 DON'T REMOVE! THIS MEANS YOU!"; binder 6: "ARCHIVE FILE #6 OFFICE COPIES, DO NOT REMOVE!". The collection contains a complete run of Heavy Metal between its debut issue of April 1977 to March 1984 (with one additional issue from 1993). Also, each binder has a signed Harlan Ellison bookplate affixed to the inside front cover. A wonderful assemblage of the most popular and influential fantasy magazine of the late 1970s and early 1980s owned by a science fiction and fantasy legend. The collection here includes a number of Ellison stories published in Heavy Metal, namely: "How's the Night Life on Cissalda?" (November 1977 ), "Croatoan" (September 1978), "Flop Sweat" (March 1979), "Santa '79: An Introductory Update a Decade Later" (December 1979), and "Fear Not Your Enemies" (March 1981). A one-of-a-kind opportunity to obtain a large collection of Heavy Metal owned by Ellison himself.Auction Info
