    1696 Booklet about the attempt on the life of King William III. An Impartial Account Of the Horrid and Detestable Conspiracy To Assassinate His Sacred Majesty King William, Raise a Rebellion in England, Scotland and Ireland, And to encourage an Invasion from France. (London: Rising Sun Press, 1696), printed for John Salusbury, 40 pages, 8vo (6.25" x 8"). This was written about the attempt to assassinate William III, in order to restore James II to the throne. A group known as the Jacobites orchestrated the plot. The attempt failed and the conspirators were judged. This booklet discusses the attempt and the subsequent arrests. A fascinating piece of history!

    The booklet is in good condition; corners are badly worn and wrinkled; mold present on the right edge; binding still intact, and all leaves present!
