    P. T. Barnum. Struggles and Triumphs or, Sixty Years' Reflections. Buffalo: The Courier Company, 1889. Early edition, inscribed by Barnum on the front blank: "To H K Morrell / with compliments / P T Barnum." Octavo. 360 pages. Illustrated throughout and with portrait frontispiece and tissue-guard inserted. Bound in near contemporary half black morocco over marbled boards, spine ruled and lettered in gilt, four raised bands; marbled endleaves. Spine a bit rubbed; some edgewear to binding; some wear to boards; front hinge starting; some wear to front free endpaper; library bookplates on front pastedown; small stains to rear pastedown; embossed library stamp to portrait frontispiece, tissue-guard and title-page; stamped library blank inserted between rear endleaves. A very good copy. This is the first edition of the 1889 revised issue of this title. From the James C. Seacrest Collection.
