Octavo. 224 pages. Publisher's red cloth, spine lettered in gilt; all text block edges trimmed; original illustrated dust jacket. Slightest hint of shelf wear to binding. Text block very faintly yellowed. Mild wear along upper edge of jacket; spine panel slightly sunned. Very nearly fine. The author's second book, and her second to feature Detective Chief Inspector Adam Dalgliesh of New Scotland Yard.
