Kate Greenaway. "Susan, Mary, Emily." A superb original watercolor drawing signed by the artist with her initials in the lower-left corner. A Pre-Raphaelite image of three young women (Greenaway's depiction of "The Three Graces" perhaps) standing arm-in-arm in a flowering meadow. No date, circa 1880s. Measures approximately 10 x 8 inches; 254 x 203 mm, matted, framed and glazed (minor chips and wear to frame). Fine.

A lovely drawing by Greenaway, and an uncommon fine art work by this very successful illustrator of Victorian children's books. A label on the back of the frame says that the backboard has a faintly discernable signature of the artist's brother "John Greenaway". And identifies the three girls as "Susan" "Mary" and "Emily" (Mary was known to be one of the artist's favorite models). Not examined out of the frame.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
