Beautiful crimson leather binding with stamped gilt decoration on the boards, gilt dentelle, and gilt titles and decoration on the re-backed spine. Edges bumped and worn, else moderate shelf wear and in very good condition. Exceptional illustrations depicting scenes from Roman antiquity.
