Black cloth with gold spine titles and facsimile signature on front cover. Dust jackets. Overall fine condition. [and:] Donald Jackson and Dorothy Twohig, eds. The Diaries of George Washington, Volumes II-VI. White and blue cloth with gold spine titles. Dust jackets. Lacking Volume I. Overall fine.

    The grant-funded Papers of George Washington project was established at the University of Virginia in 1969. Intended to extend to ninety volumes, the published hardcover series currently consists of fifty-three. This lot includes all ten of the Colonial volumes, seven of the sixteen Revolutionary War volumes, four of the six Confederation volumes, six of the thirteen Presidential volumes, the single-volume Journal of the Proceedings of the President, and five of the six Diaries volumes.
