    Henry D. Smyth Atomic Energy For Military Purposes - A General Account of the Scientific Research and Technical Development That Went into the Making of the Atomic Bombs. (Princeton: Princeton University Press, 1945), first edition, 264 pages, 8vo (5.75" x 8"), gray cloth, unclipped jacket in protective mylar cover. Signed on the front free endpaper by Norris E. Bradbury, Director of Los Alamos National Laboratory 1945 - 1970, J. Robert Oppenheimer the "father of the atomic bomb", and the author. Book in very good condition, jacket missing pieces of spine.
    One World or None edited by Dexter Masters and Katharine Way. (New York: Whittlesey House/McGraw-Hill, 1946), first edition, 79 pages, 4to (8.5" x 11"), soft cover magazine format, very good condition with age toning to pages. This is an early attempt at explaining the new atomic era to the general public.
