    More Information: Cardonnel [d 1820] was by profession, a surgeon; studied antiquities and numismatics; gave much assistance to Francis Grose; took the name Lawson and removed to Northumberland, on succession to an estate c. 1790; published treatises on Scottish coins and antiquities.     ESTC t105719.
