J.G. Geissler. Der Uhrmacher oder Lehrbegrif der Uhrmacherkunst (The Clockmaker or Manual for the Art of Clockmaking) in Two Volumes. Leipzig: Siegfried Crusius, 1795 and 1796 respectively.
Four parts (of ten) in two Quarto volumes, with four title-pages. 246; 154 pages. Numerous copper-engraved plates and fold-out schematics for various clock parts. In German.

Chocolate buckram. Generally worn. Some separation at hinges with old tape repairs, a few loose leaves, chipped pages, small tears to fold-out schematics, etc. Textblock shows moderate age toning overall; some water staining to interior pages.

German horology reached its peak in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, this being an example of the type of training manual used at the time.
