Text blocks of volumes 3 and 6 are separating from binding; plate 79 has stain at base; slight foxing and toning throughout. Good. Though not inexpensive, the octavo edition, of which this is the second, of Audubon's monumental work was a tremendous, perhaps the greatest, commercial success of any color plate book issued in the United States during the 19th century.
