Abbeville edition, originally printed in Japan in an edition of 350 copies (of which 300 were bound) consisting of 435 facsimile reproductions of the Havell originals; present here, is just over half of the print run. Double-elephant folio (approximately 39.5 x 26.5 inches; 1000 x 675 mm.). 240 illustrated prints, watermarked. Loose leaves, unbound or disbound. Several leaves with wear to the left margin from original binding, stab holes visible; some corners bumped; occasional faint marginal soiling, trivial edgewear. Generally near fine.
