Original hand-colored lithograph (Plate XLII) from the first imperial folio edition of Audubon's Viviparous Quadrupeds of North America (Philadelphia: 1843-1848), printed and colored by J. T. Bowen and dated 1844. Approximately 26.5 x 20.5 inches; 673 x 521 mm. (sight). Framed beneath glass. Some very faint natural toning, discoloration. Appears near fine, not inspected outside of frame. Some wear to corners of frame.
