J. J. Audubon. Group of Three Rodents from Quadrupeds of North America. Philadelphia: 1843-1847. From the first imperial folio edition.J[ohn]. J[ames]. Audubon. Spermophilus Tridecemlineatus, Mitchell. Leopard Spermophile. Philadelphia: J. T. Bowen, 1844. Original hand-colored lithograph (Plate XXXIX) from the first imperial folio edition of Audubon's The Viviparous Quadrupeds of North America (Philadelphia: 1843-1848), printed and colored by J. T. Bowen and dated 1844. Chipping and a handful of short tears along edges, with top edge where plate was removed from volume slightly rough and lined with several small pieces of tape, affixed at verso; a few faint spots of thumbsoiling. Very good.
[Together with:] Sciurus Lanigunosus, Bach. Downy Squirrel. Philadelphia: J. T. Bowen, 1843. Original hand-colored lithograph (Plate XXV) from the first imperial folio edition of Audubon's The Viviparous Quadrupeds of North America (Philadelphia: 1843-1848), printed and colored by J. T. Bowen and dated 1843. Chipping, mild discoloration, and some soft creasing along right and bottom edge; a few small, faint spots of foxing and thumbsoiling; tipped along top edge to sheet of heavy paper. Near fine.

Original hand-colored lithograph (Plate CIV) from the first imperial folio edition of Audubon's The Viviparous Quadrupeds of North America (Philadelphia: 1843-1848), printed and colored by J. T. Bowen and dated 1847. Some mild discoloration at extremities; nicking at corners and along left edge; small pencil mark at upper left corner; tipped along top edge to sheet of heavy paper. Near fine.
