[8], viii, 115, [1] pages. Hand-colored frontispiece, twenty-four hand-colored engraved plates with twenty-four additional anatomical key engraved plates. Contemporary half calf over boards, raised bands on spine, all edges red. Boards rubbed, board edges worn and abraded, corners bumped, crown chipped, front joint starting. Text block slightly cockled, rubber stamp and pencil marks on half-title page, facsimile copies of pages [7]-[i] laid-in, and facsimile copies of pages [97]-100 tipped-in. A good, well-kept copy of a featuring beautiful illustrations of amphibians.
