Approximately 14 x 9 inches. [xii], 441, [1, blank], [6, Index] pages. With two plates on fowling, two letterpress tables, and seventy-eight ornithological plates. Complete. Title-page printed in red and black. Contemporary full brown calf, boards paneled in blind. Rebacked to style in brown calf, burgundy gilt morocco lettering label. Binding worn, upper corner on rear board creased and somewhat loose, some soiling in text, a few leaves with small burn holes (with minor loss), a few leaves creased, most of the ornithological plates have chips and tears (some tears quite large), the last few ornithological plates dampstained at margins. Front free endpaper with repaired tear. Still, a very good copy. With contemporary owner's signatures on front free endpaper. Wing W2880. Anker 532.
