Publisher's bluish-plum basket-weave cloth, front with black paper label lettered in gilt; all text block edges trimmed. Binding worn and damp-stained; spine skewed; gilt stamping tarnished and almost completely worn from front label; board corners bumped and peeking through cloth. Endpapers foxed and spot-stained; lacking rear free endpaper; binding starting to pull away at rear joint, but still sound for now. Mild age toning to text block; occasional specks of foxing or spot-soiling throughout. Good. BAL 7590.

Octavo. vi, [3], [15]-283, [3, blank], 16 [publisher's ads]; 284 pages. Publisher's brown cloth, spine lettered in gilt, boards decoratively blind-stamped; all text block edges trimmed; brown coated endpapers. Bindings rubbed and scuffed, with a few small areas of soiling and staining; spine ends and joints partially worn away; corners tapped, with boards showing through cloth. General faint age spotting to endpapers; rear joint of second volume damp-stained. Text blocks softly dulled with age, particularly around edges; occasional spot-staining scattered throughout interiors. Good. BAL 7621.

Publisher's brown cloth, spine lettered in gilt, boards decoratively blind-stamped; all text block edges trimmed; brown coated endpapers. Binding worn, with a handful of spots of soiling and discoloration; spine ends pushed and starting to fray; corners tapped, with boards beginning to peek through cloth. A bit of faint, mild spotting to endpapers; short tear at upper corner of front pastedown, which also has a lending library label. Text block generally a bit dulled with age, particularly around edges; moderate amount of speckle-soiling at edges; two gatherings sprung; marginal spot-staining scattered throughout interior. Good. BAL 7626.
