Wilkie Collins. Blind Love. London: 1890. First edition.
Wilkie Collins. Blind Love. With a Preface by Walter Besant. London: Chatto & Windus, 1890. First edition. Three volumes. Octavo. [2], x, [2], 302, [2]; vi, [2], 303, [1], 32 [publisher's ads]; vi, [2], 316 pages. Three frontispieces, thirteen additional inserted plates, and in-text illustrations by A. Forestier. Publisher's blue cloth, spines lettered in gilt, front and rear boards decoratively stamped in black; all text block edges trimmed. Spines skewed; backstrips dulled just a shade; spine ends pushed and worn, with cloth starting to split in a few places; wear along joints; boards slightly rubbed with just a tiny amount of occasional soiling; fairly mild wear and bumping to edges and corners. Text blocks very softly dulled, particularly at edges, with an occasional small stain or spot of foxing; gathering toward rear of second volume sprung slightly, but still sound; endpapers a bit foxed; previous owner endpapers at two front pastedowns, at verso of front free endpaper of first volume; thumbsoiling, spots of foxing and staining, evidence of dog-earing scattered throughout interiors of text blocks. Very good.
