Publisher's black cloth; front stamped in blind with publisher's device; spine stamped in silver; top edge of the text block trimmed, others untrimmed; in the original illustrated dust jacket. Very mild shelf wear at the extremities of the binding; spine ends gently pushed. Normal toning to edges and interior of text block. Faint toning to free endpapers from jacket flaps. One or two instances of previous dog-earing. Wear to edges and folds of jacket with a few small chips out of top edge and bottom of spine panel, one or two small spots of soiling; tide marks at verso in lower corners of front and rear panels with slight paper loss at once side. Near fine.
