Endpapers slightly toned; adhesive residue from bookplate on front pastedown; author's inscription to front free endpaper recto. Internally generally clean; top-edge stained yellow, some soiling on edges; minor edgewear; fore and bottom-edges rough cut; text block toned in margins. Dust jacket with minor edgewear; minor chipping in head and foot of spine; some soiling on back panel; colors bright. Very good book with very good dust jacket. Bookplate of Henry Tatnall Brown, Jr. laid in.
