Publisher's full yellow cloth, front and spine lettered in black. Original dust jacket. Top edge trimmed; others untrimmed. Minor shelf wear at extremities of binding; spine ends slightly pushed; a bit of discoloration along joints; tiny amount of dark soiling along top edge; top corners gently bumped. Normal age toning to edges and interior of text block; top edge a bit darkened with a spot or two of staining. Light toning with a bit of rubbing and a few spots of staining to exposed panels of jacket; some chipping, primarily at spine and flap fold ends; a few short tears with some rumpling and soft creasing at edges; one tear about 2" long extending into title at front panel. Near fine in a very good jacket. With signed typed letter from Burke to Samuel Loveman, Cleveland-area writer, soliciting advice on getting Limehouse Nights, originally published privately, distributed in the United States.
