Publisher's cloth, five light blue, three red, six spines lettered in black, one in white, one in white; all text block edges trimmed, one top edge stained blue; original illustrated dust jackets. A couple of spines slightly skewed; majority of spine ends very slightly pushed, some showing a bit of wear; lettering at backstrip of Standish Takes the Field tarnished, with soft crease along spine; They Called Him Nighthawk backstrip dulled; a couple pairs of boards splayed; occasional mild discoloration, smudging, or pale soiling to boards; mild wear along bottom edges. Varied amount of dulling to text blocks, most pronounced at edges; occasional soiling or foxing to edges, one text block heavily foxed around edges; sparse foxing to a few text block interiors; some endpapers a bit discolored; previous owner signature and book stall stamp at front free endpaper. General light rubbing and creasing and occasional mild soiling to all jackets but glassine; nicking and chipping at spine panel and flap fold ends, heads of two spines reinforced with tape at verso; a number of splits and tears along or near folds, majority reinforced with tape at verso; some mild foxing and rubbing at versos. Very good to very nearly fine.
