More Information: Stuart Palmer. The Puzzle of the Pepper Tree. Garden City: Doubleday, Doran & Company, for The Crime Club, 1933. First edition. Octavo (7.4375 x 5.125 inches; 189 x 130). Publisher's red cloth, spine and front board stamped in dark green, outlining the text; top edge of the text block stained green, other edges untrimmed; illustrated endpapers; in the original dust jacket, priced $2.00. Spine just barely leaning; covers with some faint spot soiling around the upper edge; spine ends and corners rubbed; upper corners softly bumped. Top stain very faintly faded toward the bound edge; text block sagging just a hair. Dust jacket spine panel faded just a shade in the red ink; edges very lightly worn with a small chip to the lower edge of the rear panel, removing the F in of, few other minor closed tears and tiny chips at the fold edges; rear panel lightly rubbed with a touch of soiling along the flap fold. Very good. Source for the third Hildegarde Withers film starring Edna May Oliver, released as Murder on a Honeymoon in 1935. From the Otto Penzler Collection of Mystery Fiction.
