Three volumes in publisher's black cloth, two of which are stamped at spine and front in yellow, and one in red; two volumes in publisher's yellow cloth, one stamped in black on spine and front, one on spine only. Top edges of text blocks trimmed, three stained yellow, one stained red; other edges untrimmed. Original illustrated dust jackets. Slight lean to majority of spines; spine ends pushed; mild wear along bottom edges; generally light rubbing to boards, slightly heavier at Yellow Shadows, with dampstains visible in raking light at front and rear of Tales; corners softly tapped. Soft dulling to text blocks, with top edges lightly dust-soiled; foxing to fore-edge of Bat with mild, marginal soiling scattered throughout interior; two volumes with previous owner gift inscriptions or signatures. General rubbing and mild dulling to jackets; some slight chipping at spine ends of a few jackets, with added color applied at Bat jacket, visible at verso; Tales jacket with tear at one end of each panel fold; 1.5-inch tear at front panel of Yellow Shadows; 2.5-inch tear at rear panel of Bat, reinforced with tape at verso; some light chipping at flap fold ends. Dampstain visible at verso of rear panel of Tales. Near fine books in very good to near fine jackets.
