Publisher's black cloth, spine and front board lettered and ruled in white, in original dust jacket. Just a hint of a spine lean; extremities very lightly rubbed. Contemporary owner signature. Dust jacket rubbed with some dark red lines to the front panel; folds and edges lightly worn; small diagonal creases to flaps; few small splashed visible on verso. A near fine copy in a very good dust jacket.

    [Together with:] The Bishop Murder Case. New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1929. First edition. Octavo. [2, blank], [2], [x], 349, [3, ads], [2, blank] pages. Publisher's black cloth, spine and front board lettered and ruled in blue, in original dust jacket. Small hole to the interior of the rear joint; touch of insignificant wear to boards; corners slightly bent. Front joint starting, tear (about one-inch) to bottom of preliminary blank; trace marginal soiling. Dust jacket edges worn with chips to spine ends and fold edges, with one extending into the front panel on the upper edge; spine panel dulled; minor creasing to flaps. Very good.
