Robert Louis Stevenson. New Arabian Nights. London: 1882. First edition.
Robert Louis Stevenson. New Arabian Nights. London: Chatto & Windus, 1882. First edition. Two volumes. Octavo. [12], 269, [3]; viii, 234, [2], 32 [publisher's ads] pages. Publisher's light green cloth, decoratively stamped in black and brown, spine lettered in gilt, front lettered in black; fore-edge trimmed. Bindings skewed; spine ends pushed and worn; mild discoloration and loss of stamping at backstrip; light wear to joints; light rubbing and a few specks of soiling to boards; a few subtle wrinkles to front board of first volume; minor wear along bottom edges; corners bumped, with boards peeking through cloth. Text blocks very slightly dulled; small spots of staining and foxing at edges; top edges dusty; previous owner bookplates affixed to front pastedowns; rear hinges both starting to split from bottom, but still sound; occasional light speckles of foxing and spot-soiling scattered throughout, mostly at margins; ads in volume two roughly opened, with one gathering completely unopened. Very good. Each volume housed in custom brown cloth clamshell. A Haycraft Queen Cornerstone; Queen's Quorum 11.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
