Publisher's pale grayish brown cloth, spine lettered in blue, front board lettered and stamped in dark blue; top edge stained blue, others untrimmed; in original dust jacket. Bottom edge of boards only slightly rubbed; a couple corners just barely bent. Faint offsetting to endpapers. Dust jacket edges very lightly worn with small chips at the flap folds; folds lightly rubbed with some minor soiling; trace soiling to white background of rear panel; small ink notation to crown. A beautiful near fine copy of an uncommon book. The first in the Mr. and Mrs. North series and immediate predecessor to the Haycraft-Queen Cornerstone, The Norths Meet Murder.
