Richard Keverne. The Havering Plot. New York: Harper & Brothers, 1929. First U. S. edition. Octavo. [6], 351, [1, publisher's insignia] pages. Publisher's green cloth, spine and front lettered in blue; all text block edges trimmed; original illustrated dust jacket with wraparound promotional band printed in pale yellow paper. Cloth generally a bit soiled, with a handful of drip stains; lettering at spine rubbed and faded; spine ends pushed and worn; some wear at board edges. Bookseller's ticket at front pastedown; strip of yellow paper at rear free endpaper where seal from this "Sealed Mystery" has been removed. Text block faintly tanned; speck of soiling at top edge. Jacket and band lightly rubbed, with a trace of edge wear. Very good.Auction Info
