Publisher's black cloth, spine lettered in red; top edge stained red; in original restored dust jacket. Covers very lightly rubbed with a couple faint blemishes on the rear board. Tiny spot of soiling to top edge of text block; occasional mild over-opening; bookseller ticket affixed to front pastedown. A nearly fine copy in a bright, presentable dust jacket with restoration to spine ends and edges of the front panel and light minor soiling. A Haycraft-Queen Cornerstone ("a classic of its kind, an intellectual shocker par excellence," Murder for Pleasure, p. 196). From the KoKo Collection.
