[vi], 278, [279], [280-282, blank] [281]-303, [1, blank] pages (note: last twelve leaves the publisher's inserted list of recipes on blue paper stock). Publisher's red cloth, spine and front board lettered and stamped (outlining text) in black; top edge stained black; in original dust jacket. Gentle spine lean; small blister to front board near lower corner; corners and spine ends very lightly worn. Endpapers discolored at hinges from binding glue. Dust jacket edge somewhat worn with light chipping at fold edges; spine panel faintly dulled; rear panel lightly soiled with a series of dark marks near the joint fold; front flap fold with a couple short closed tears, one covered by a tape repair. Very good. The fifth Nero Wolfe mystery. Townsend A16b. From the KoKo Collection.
