    More Information:

Rex Stout. The Red Box. New York: Farrar & Rinehart, [1937]. First edition, with publisher's device on the copyright page, but designated second printing on the dust jacket. Octavo. [iv], 298, 5 (excerpt from The Rubber Band) [5, blank] pages. Publisher's gray cloth, spine and front board lettered and stamped in red; top edge stained red; in (possibly supplied) dust jacket. Spine leaning slightly with shallow ridge down the backstrip; backstrip faintly dulled; boards lightly soiled; spine ends, corners and joints lightly worn. Text block sagging very slightly; binding a little shaken; a few faint splashed to the top stain; endpapers lightly discolored; faint marginal foxing to first few leaves. Dust jacket spine panel lightly dulled; edges lightly worn with some minor chipping to the spine ends; rear panel faintly soiled; light offsetting to flaps. Still, a very good copy. The fourth Nero Wolfe mystery. From the KoKo Collection.
