The Lady in the Lake with Typed Letter Signed

Raymond Chandler. The Lady in the Lake. New York: Knopf, 1943. First edition with Typed Letter Signed on Chandler's La Jolla letterhead laid in. Adapted by Steve Fisher for the 1947 MGM film noir directed by and starring Robert Montgomery as Philip Marlowe and filmed entirely in Marlowe's first-person point of view. Letter addressed to Society of Authors regarding dues and contributing to the fighting fund. Signed by Chandler with his initials, one horizontal fold as issued. Publisher's light green cloth binding. Original pictorial dust jacket by Norman Reeves. Spine ends very lightly rubbed. Jacket spine somewhat sun-faded, both flaps price-clipped clipped, edges worn with some light creasing, crown chipped, affecting barely affecting the text, corners and spine ends reinforced by tape on verso. Very good.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
