Octavo (7.5 x 4.75 inches; 190 x 120 mm.). [vi], [218] pages. Publisher's green cloth, boards and spine stamped in dark green. Original dust jacket. Book is rebacked preserving most of the original spine; boards a bit edgeworn; spine and boards soiled; hinges repaired; endleaves toned; occasional thumbsoiling in text; page 213 with marginal tear near fore-edge (not affecting text); edge of textblock scuffed at upper edge. Dust jacket spine toned and edgeworn; jacket panels with some edgewear, some mild chipping and a few short tears; jacket panels toned with some thumbsoiling. Very good. Housed in a custom cloth clamshell case. Seton Miller was a successful screenwriter, writing several well-known films, including Scarface (1932), The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938), and The Sea Hawk (1940), and many others; he and his writing partner Sidney Buchman won the 1941 Academy Award for Best Screenplay for Here Comes Mr. Jordan.
