Publisher's blue cloth, spine lettered in gilt; all text block edges trimmed; original illustrated dust jacket. Trace of wear at foot of spine and bottom edges of boards. Text block softly dulled. Jacket spine panel slightly worn and faded toward foot; light wear at folds; front and rear panel softly rubbed; white panels and verso faintly tanned. Very nearly fine.
[Together with:] Mr. Polton Explains. London: Hodder and Stoughton, . First edition. Octavo. 285,  pages. Publisher's purplish-blue cloth, spine lettered in black; all text block edges trimmed; original illustrated dust jacket. Mild lean to spine; tiny bump at each spine end; light wear at foot of spine and along bottom edges of boards. Text block faintly dulled; light smudging and soiling, primarily at top and fore-edge; occasional marginal specks of soiling scattered throughout interior. General light rubbing and mild spot-soiling to jacket; spine panel faded just a shade; minimal wear to spine ends, with a few tiny nicks at bottom; a bit of wear at folds; small abrasion at rear panel. Near fine.

Publisher's light blue cloth, spine lettered in black; all text block edges trimmed; original illustrated dust jacket. A touch of wear at spine ends; mild, faint smudging at upper corner of rear board; light wear at bottom edges of lower corners. Text block very mildly tanned; a few small spots of soiling and a scratch at fore-edge. Mild rubbing and soiling to jacket; a tiny nick out of each end of spine panel; soft creasing at folds, with tiny tear at foot of front panel fold; paper loss at head of front flap fold, about 1.5 inches wide. Near fine book in a very good jacket.
