Publisher's blue cloth, front and spine stamped in green, blind ruled border stamped in blind; top edge of the text block stained blue, others trimmed; pictorial endpapers; in the original illustrated dust jacket. Mild shelf wear at extremities of binding; slight joint wear; bump to upper fore-edge; spine ends gently pushed. Normal age toning with a bit of soiling at edges of text block. Lending library stamp at front pastedown. Light rubbing to jacket with some paper loss at spine and flap fold ends and four small holes at rear panel and along flap folds; a bit of wear to joint and flap folds; touch of fraying to edges of front and rear panels; a few small scratches and spots of soiling to surface of jacket. Very good. Taylor's first novel, introducing her detective Asey Mayo. A Haycraft Queen Cornerstone. From the Otto Penzler Collection of Mystery Fiction.
