Cloth binding rubbed and soiled, lower corners bumped, cloth lightly bubbled. Mild foxing to endleaves. Endleaves and text a bit toned. Some soiling to edge of text block. Jacket spine a bit sunned, light rubbing, minor thumbsoiling to jacket. A good copy in a fine dust jacket. [Together with:] Philip MacDonald. The Noose. New York: The Dial Press, 1930. First American edition. Octavo. [iv], [1]-309, [3, blank] pages. Publisher's full maroon cloth, front board stamped in blind, spine lettered in black. In the publisher's dust jacket. Cloth spine lightly toned and rubbed, with a few tiny tears. Light rubbing, thumbsoiling to cloth boards. Endleaves and text a bit toned. Previous owner's gift inscription in pencil on the half-title. Jacket a bit toned. Jacket thumbsoiled, with some edgewear, scuffing, light chipping, and a few creased tears. Still, very good.
