Publisher's full orange cloth, front board and spine stamped in black. In the rare original publisher's dust jacket. Cloth spine a bit toned. Edges of spine and boards a bit rubbed, sunned and soiled. Endleaves somewhat toned and offset, with some marginal soiling. Jacket spine worn and chipped. Jacket panels edgeworn with some creased tears and light chipping. Rear jacket panel thumbsoiled. Bibliographer Adrian Goldstone's copy, with his bookplate on the front pastedown. Very good.

    This novel introduces the amateur detective, Nigel Strangeways.
