Front hinge starting, rear hinge cracked (though still fairly solid), text with occasional soiling, wear. A few gutters overopened. Still, a good example of this rare item. Rebacked, preserving most of the original spine. Spine sunned, board edges sunned and somewhat worn. Previous owner's signature on front free endpaper. Good. [And:] Mrs. Henry Wood. Publisher's full dark green cloth, boards decoratively stamped in blind, spine stamped in gilt. Spine somewhat sunned. Binding rubbed and edgeworn. Text with occasional thumbsoiling or foxing. Rear hinge just starting. Very good.
