    More Information: Mickey Spillane. Typescript for The Day the Sea Rolled Back. [No place: circa 1979]. Typescript, possibly reproduced, of Spillane's first juvenile novel. Quarto sheets, grouped by chapter with a staple in the upper-left corner. Presumeed complete in fifty-two leaves, numbered 1-51 with an insert between pages five and six. [Together with:] Reproduced Typescript of a Follow-Up in the Larry Damar Series. [No place: circa 1980s]. Mechanical reproduction of an undetermined juvenile title, focusing on the further adventures of Larry Damar, after hearing about the wreck of the ship El Capitan Uno, with characters not mentioned in Gale's Mickey Spillane Companion, such as Poki George. Loose quaro sheets (8.5 x 11 inches), grouped by chapter with a paperclip. Presumed complete in fifty-one leaves. General light wear, some corners creased; pages yellow; some discoloration from paperclips and staples; pages thirty-two and thirty-three detached from staple in The Day the Sea Rolled Back. Very good. The Day the Sea Rolled Back was a Junior Literary Guild selection for 1979; it was the first of a planned six novels, but only The Ship That Never Was (published 1982) followed.
